Registration

If your child will be a new Kindergartner at Gwinnett County Public Schools for the 2026-27 school year (and will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026), you may complete the Online Registration. All required documentation for your child's registration must be uploaded through Online Registration. Please complete the steps below.

1. Visit the What You Need For Online Registration page to ensure you have the correct documents to upload.  

2. Complete the Online Registration by visiting the GCPS website. Once the website opens, click on the New Student Enrollment button located under the slide show, as shown below.

Upcoming Events for new Kindergartners and their Parents

Kindergarten Signing Day (Kindergarten Registration & KREP Screener) - Thursday, April 23, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Kindergartners must attend to complete the Kindergarten Screener (KREP), and parents must check in to verify that registration is complete and processed.

Rising K Parent Meeting - Thursday, May 7, 9:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Your kindergartner will visit a kindergarten classroom and ride a school bus. The GCPS Book Mobile will be here as well, and every rising kinder will receive a free book.

If your child(ren) are NEW to Gwinnett County Public Schools, follow the steps below to complete the online registration process. 

Step 1: 
Visit the GCPS New Student Enrollment/Registration page for helpful information, as well as, documents you will need to register your child online.

Step 2:
Visit the GCPS New Student Online Registration page to enroll your child.

Withdraw your student from their previous GCPS school by visiting the school and completing the withdrawal paperwork.

Bring the withdrawal form, proof of residency, and parent/legal guardian ID when you register at Freeman's Mill.

GCPS Immunization Information

A parent/guardian must come to school and complete the withdrawal form before the student's last day. The student's Chromebook must be returned and all textbooks, library books, and outstanding fees must be taken care of before the student is withdrawn.
